Effective Instructional Leadership - Section 2: Professional Development

High Quality, Standards-based Professional Development is often Viewed as the Link Between the Implementation of Educational Improvement Initiatives and their Ultimate Success in Schools. When Aligned with School or District Goals and Expectations, Professional Development will Reform Pedagogical Practice and Augment the Educator’s Content Knowledge and Classroom Strategies Leading to Increased Student Achievement. This Session will Address the Differences Between Training and Professional Development, and the Need to Provide Ongoing and Sustained Professional Development through a Blended Learning Model Leading to Improved Teacher Pedagogy, Enhanced Student Engagement, and Increased Student Achievement.
